Company of Roques is hosting this 8 week course at Vancouver's Studio 538

A scene well played is like scoring a piece of music. This 8 week class is a process of mining the depth and breadth of the scenes notes through fusing both Sanford Meisner and Uta Hagen’s technique’s into a cohesive way of working. Building a Character, Listening, Receiving and Responding, Creating Moment Before and Expectation, activating Relationship, Conflict, Need, Working truthfully within an environment and understanding how this breathes Life to the stage, are only a few of the things the Actor will learn in this course. This process is fundamental to the craft of acting regardless of the medium. Actors will work on one scene (drawn from a play) with their partners for the duration of the 8 weeks. This class requires that actors rehearse with their partners outside of class time.

A minimum of two rehearsals per week is a must!

• Because this is partnered work, students must be able to commit to the full 8 weeks as well as a rehearsal schedule. More than 1 class missed will result in forfeiting the class with no re-imbursement.
